A
If you receive basic income support, you may, under certain conditions, participate in a so-called work opportunity program. This can help you improve your chances of entering or re-entering the workforce.
ALG helps you if you lose your job or your training position. It replaces part of your lost income and helps you cover your living expenses. You will normally receive this benefit for up to 12 months. After that, you can apply for basic income support.
B
Vocational training allowance (BAB) is a financial grant for young people in their first vocational training. It helps to pay for rent, meals or travel costs, for example.
A relative of yours has died and you are unable to pay the funeral costs yourself? Is your inheritance or death benefit not enough? The social welfare office can cover the funeral costs under certain conditions.
Children, teenagers and young adults should have the same opportunities in Germany. Education and participation in social and cultural life are important prerequisites for equal opportunities. This is why the state promotes benefits for education and participation, also known as the education and participation package.
If you or your relatives are blind or have a comparably severe long-term visual impairment, the state can provide you with additional support in the form of Blindness Benefit.

Are you or a close relative disabled or at risk of long-term disability? The wide range of Integration Assistance services are designed to help you participate in social life.
If you, as an employer, wish to hire eligible individuals, you can apply to the Job Center for wage subsidies under the Equal Opportunity Act. Eligible individuals are those who have been receiving benefits for at least two years and are currently receiving basic income support.
You receive basic income support and are self-employed? Or are you planning to become self-employed as your main occupation while receiving basic income support? The Job center can support you in integrating into self-employment.
If you receive Cost-of-living assistance or Basic welfare for the elderly and people with reduced earnings capacity, you may be entitled to this benefit - for example, if you need maternity clothes.
You are currently receiving basic income support and would like to become self-employed? Or would you like to take up employment subject to social insurance contributions? Then the Benefit to promote integration into the labour market could be the right benefit for you.
F
If you are looking for or starting a new job or apprenticeship, you can have some expenses reimbursed. This also applies to expenses that you incur within the first 6 months of starting work. This funding comes from the so-called placement budget.
Are you between 15 and 25 years old and currently in a difficult situation, for example because you can't find a job or apprenticeship? Then Supporting young people who are difficult to reach can help you.
Do you receive basic income support, are you being supported by the Job center in finding work and need special help to get back into the job market? Or do you already have a job, but it is not enough to get you out of the need for assistance?

Are you of retirement age, but your money is not enough to cover your living expenses? Or are you still younger, but are permanently unable to work for health reasons?
If you do not have enough money to cover your living expenses, you may be eligible for basic income support. To receive it, you must either live in a household with a recipient of basic income support or be generally able to work.

Are you currently unable to work for health reasons? If so, you may be entitled to this benefit.
Are you in need of care, but your income and assets are not sufficient to cover all the costs yourself? Or do you receive no or insufficient benefits from long-term care insurance? If this applies to your current situation, you can find the right help on this page.
Are you currently no longer able to run your household alone for health reasons? Is there no one living with you who can take on these tasks? Then Support for Aging at Home could be the right benefit for you.

You are entitled to Child benefit as a state benefit for each child.
If you have a low income and receive Child benefit, you can also receive the Child allowance, also known as KiZ for short.
You are currently receiving Citizen's benefit and cannot find work due to your personal circumstances? Your job center offers advice and support services to help you find work.

If you are seeking asylum in Germany and need financial or medical assistance, you can submit an application to the authorities.

If you have a disability with a degree of disability (GdB) of at least 50, you can obtain a Severely Disabled Pass.
If you have suffered damage to your health as a result of certain events, you can receive social compensation benefits in the form of service, cash and non-cash benefits. The health impairment may be the result of an act of violence, war, civilian service or a specific vaccination.

If you, as an employer, would like to hire people who have been receiving benefits for a long time, you can apply to the Job Center for wage subsidies under the Equal Opportunity Act. People who have been unable to find a job for many years and are receiving basic income support are considered eligible.
