The Ombudsman’s Office is attached to the Commissioner for the Interests of People with Disabilities and is established by law in Sections 10d and 10e of the BGG NRW and Sections 9 et seq. of the BITV NRW. 

In consultation with all parties involved, the Ombudsman’s Office seeks to determine the circumstances surrounding the lack of accessibility so that the responsible entity can remedy the issue. The goal is to work with the Ombudsman’s Office to find a solution to the problem collaboratively and out of court.

The mediation process is free of charge. You also do not need legal representation.
