Child Allowance (KiZ)

If you have a low income and receive child benefit, you can also apply for the child supplement, also known as KiZ for short.

Ви отримуєте допомогу на дитину й маєте низький рівень доходів? У такому випадку, крім допомоги на дитину, ви можете подати до сімейної каси заявку на отримання надбавки на дитину (KiZ).

Надбавка на дитину виплачується сім’ям, що мають низький рівень власних доходів. Вона сплачується додатково до допомоги на дитину. Сімейна каса визначає для кожної сім’ї окремо, чи має вона право на отримання надбавки на дитину та в якому розмірі. Надбавка на дитину дає вам можливість отримувати допомогу з освіти й соціалізації, а також безкоштовний догляд за дитиною.

Note: The child supplement is paid for 6 months. After that, you must reapply for it. If your situation has not changed, you can simply fill in a short application after 6 months.

Who is eligible?

You are entitled to child supplement if:

  • You and your partner receive child benefit
  • You earn at least 600 euros (gross) per month as a single parent
  • You earn at least 900 euros (gross) per month as a couple
  • You do not have any major assets or income

Further requirements in relation to the child for whom you are applying for the child supplement:

The child ...

  • is under 25 years old, not married or in a registered civil partnership
  • lives with you permanently
  • is not accommodated in a residential facility
  • is not a foster child or grandchild

You are not entitled to child supplement if:

  • You have substantial assets
  • You or your partner have a high income
  • The child is over 25 years old, married or in a registered civil partnership
  • The child does not live with you permanently
  • The child is accommodated in a residential facility
  • The child is a foster child or grandchild
