Data protection

In order to ensure that the data of users and service providers is handled in accordance with data protection law, certain technical precautions are taken on the platform. This includes the approach of minimized data storage. In addition, precautions have been taken to safeguard the rights of data subjects in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

In accordance with the legal situation of the German Social Code (SGB) and the GDPR, receiving bodies are responsible under data protection law for services in the SGB legal sphere.

The project team supports the local authorities as a partner and consultant and has developed the relevant data protection documents primarily for the receiving bodies themselves. As part of this, the developed data protection packages are provided. This includes a data protection impact assessment, which is intended to enable the downstream user body to be implemented as quickly as possible by the responsible data protection officer of the municipality.
