Child Allowance (KiZ)

If you have a low income and receive child benefit, you can also apply for the child supplement, also known as KiZ for short.

If you earn very little, child benefit is sometimes not enough to cover all your costs. This is where the child supplement comes to your aid!

Çocuk zammı (Kinderzuschlag).

Çocuk parası alıyorsunuz ve geliriniz nispeten düşük mü? Öyleyse Aile Kasasından (Familienkasse) çocuk parasına ek olarak çocuk zammı (KiZ) talep edebilirsiniz.

Çocuk zammı, kendi geliri olsa da pek yeterli olmayan aileler için düşünülmüştür. Çocuk parasına ek olarak ödenir. Çocuk zammının ödenip ödenmeyeceği veya tutarının ne olacağı Aile Kasası tarafından her aile için ayrı olarak hesaplanır. Çocuk zammıyla birlikte eğitim ve katılım yardımları veya ücretsiz çocuk bakımı alma hakkınız da vardır.

Note: The child supplement is paid for 6 months. After that, you must reapply for it. If your situation has not changed, you can simply fill in a short application after 6 months.

Who is eligible?

You are entitled to child supplement if:

  • You and your partner receive child benefit
  • You earn at least 600 euros (gross) per month as a single parent
  • You earn at least 900 euros (gross) per month as a couple
  • You do not have any major assets or income

Further requirements in relation to the child for whom you are applying for the child supplement:

The child ...

  • is under 25 years old, not married or in a registered civil partnership
  • lives with you permanently
  • is not accommodated in a residential facility
  • is not a foster child or grandchild

You are not entitled to child supplement if:

  • You have substantial assets
  • You or your partner have a high income
  • The child is over 25 years old, married or in a registered civil partnership
  • The child does not live with you permanently
  • The child is accommodated in a residential facility
  • The child is a foster child or grandchild
