At the moment only part of the website is accessible. The Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs is working hard to make all of its websites, including the Social Service Platform, fully accessible to all users.
We are currently working on improving access to the website. We ask for your patience, as in some cases we have to adjust the website code. For example, it is currently not possible to adjust the text spacing and use of the website without a mouse has not yet been standardised.
Simple language is language that is particularly easy to understand, both in writing and in speech. The concept of simple language was developed for and in partnership with people with learning difficulties.
Simple language is about making text and speech easier to comprehend. This can be achieved through short sentences, by avoiding loanwords and structuring content in a logical manner. This also benefits other target groups with language-related issues in our information-driven society. For example, there are 7.5 million people in Germany who cannot read or write. People who do not speak German as their native language also like to use websites with simple language.
The monitoring office for accessible information technology of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia regularly checks whether and to what extent websites and mobile applications developed by public authorities in the state comply with accessibility requirements. The monitoring office aims to ensure compliance with accessible information technology standards and make sure that legal requirements are implemented across the board.

This website is partially accessible; partial compliance with BITV 2.0 requirements has been achieved. This website was tested according to the BITV compliance test by the accessible IT competency centre (Kompetenzzentrum Barrierefreie IT).
