Education and Participation

In Germany, children, adolescents and young adults should have the same opportunities. Education and participation in social and cultural life are important prerequisites for equal opportunities. This is why the state promotes benefits for education and participation, also known as the education and participation package.

Benefits from the education and participation package can help your child to take part in community activities - for example, by providing a grant to enable participation in a school trip.

Данная страница содержит сведения о пакете социальной помощи на нужды образования и социальной адаптации (BuT). Здесь приведена информация о том, кто может претендовать на получение помощи, каков ее размер и что необходимо сделать для ее получения.

Помощь из пакета социальной помощи на нужды образования и социальной адаптации позволяет молодым людям участвовать в общественной деятельности и иметь доступ к образованию. Финансовая поддержка предназначена для детей, подростков и молодых взрослых.

Родители, не имеющие достаточных средств для содержания своего ребенка или детей, могут получить помощь на эти цели.

Право на получение помощи имеют лица, получающие следующие услуги:

  • пособие по безработице 2 (Arbeitslosengeld 2);
  • пособие для нетрудоспособных (Sozialgeld) в соответствии со Вторым томом Социального кодекса (Sozialgesetzbuch II);
  • социальная помощь (Sozialhilfe) в соответствии с Двенадцатым томом Социального кодекса (Sozialgesetzbuch XII) (пособие на средства к существованию, а также пособие на базовое обеспечение по старости и при ограничении трудоспособности (Hilfe zum Lebensunterhalt sowie Grundsicherung im Alter und bei Erwerbsminderung));
  • жилищное пособие (Wohngeld);
  • надбавка на ребенка (Kinderzuschlag);
  • услуги согласно закону о материальной помощи просителям убежища (Asylbewerberleistungsgesetz, AsylbLG).

В отдельных случаях люди с низкими доходами могут иметь право на получение помощи из пакета социальной помощи на нужды образования и социальной адаптации, даже не получая вышеупомянутых пособий.

Возрастные ограничения для получения помощи из пакета социальной помощи на нужды образования и социальной адаптации (BuT):

  • До 18 лет дети, подростки и молодые взрослые могут получать помощь на нужды образования и социально-культурной адаптации.
  • В возрасте с 18 до 25 лет молодые взрослые могут получать только помощь на нужды образования.

Примечание! В области социальной помощи (Sozialhilfe) в соответствии с Двенадцатым томом Социального кодекса (Sozialgesetzbuch XII) не существует верхнего возрастного предела для получения помощи на нужды образования.

Application or proof?

Whether you can submit an application or receive benefits from the education and participation package by providing proof depends on which benefits you already receive. You can find more information at the bottom of this page.

Who is entitled?

Among others, recipients are entitled to:

  • Citizen's allowance (Bürgergeld) 
  • Assistance towards living expenses
  • Basic income support in old age and in the event of reduced earning capacity
  • Housing benefit
  • Child supplement (KiZ)
  • Benefits in accordance with the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act

Further requirements for benefits from the education and participation package

The child, young person or young adult

  • does not receive a training allowance 
  • is under 25 years old

Important: These requirements do not necessarily apply to benefits to secure your livelihood (subsistence assistance or basic income support in old age and in the event of reduced earning capacity).

Children, adolescents and young adults up to the age of 25 can receive benefits in the area of education, and beyond that in the area of benefits to secure your livelihood (assistance with living expenses or basic security benefits in old age and in the event of reduced earning capacity).

Children, adolescents and young adults can only receive benefits in the area of socio-cultural participation up to the age of 18.

 

You are not entitled to education and participation if 

  • you do not receive any of the following benefits:  
    • Citizen's allowance (Bürgergeld)
    • Assistance with living expenses
    • Basic income support in old age and in the event of reduced earning capacity
    • Housing benefit
    • Child supplement (KiZ)
    • Benefits under the Asylum Seekers Benefits ActI
  • Your child, adolescent or young adult is over 25 years of age (for benefits from the education sector), unless you receive benefits to secure your livelihood (assistance with living expenses or basic income support in old age and in the event of reduced earning capacity).
  • your child, adolescent or young adult is over 18 years of age (for benefits in the area of participation), unless you receive benefits to secure your livelihood (cost of living assistance or basic income support in old age and in the event of reduced earning capacity).
  • if your child, adolescent or young adult receives a training allowance.

Important: In individual cases, there may also be an entitlement to benefits from the education and participation package if no need for assistance was previously established. The responsible job center or social welfare office will check the entitlement and, if applicable, possible priority benefits such as housing benefit and/or child supplement (KiZ).

Пособие по безработице II (Arbeitslosengeld II)

Если в настоящее время у Вас нет работы и права на получение пособия по безработице I (ALG I), возможно, Вы можете претендовать на пособие по безработице II. Это пособие можно также получить, если Вы зарабатываете настолько мало, что Вы не можете оплачивать средства к существованию.

Жилищное пособие (Wohngeld)

Если Вы зарабатываете слишком мало, чтобы оплачивать жилье, Вы можете подать заявление на получение жилищного пособия.

Если у Вас низкий уровень дохода и Вы получаете пособие на ребенка, Вы можете дополнительно подать заявление о получении надбавки на ребенка (Kinderzuschlag, KiZ).
