Terms of use for online appointment booking on the social platform
The social platform is a service of the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (MAGS NRW). As a cross-state administration portal, the social platform is intended to provide users with electronic access to various administrative services in the area of employment and social affairs. Online appointment booking is a component of the social platform. Users can use this function to search for advice centers and services and make appointments online.

Terms of use for online appointment booking
1. scope of application of the terms of use
These Terms of Use govern the relationship between users of the online appointment booking service and MAGS NRW as the provider of the social platform. Every user must take note of the terms of use and accept them each time they use the online appointment booking service. MAGS NRW reserves the right to amend the Terms of Use if necessary.
2. Authorization for use
Users of the online appointment booking service within the meaning of these Terms of Use are natural persons who wish to book a consultation appointment electronically via the social platform. Use does not require registration.
3. technical requirements for the use of online appointment booking
The social platform is accessed via the website www.sozialplattform.de
The use of online appointment booking requires:
- Internet access,
- a browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox or Safari) in the latest version,
- the activation of Java script in the browser,
- the acceptance of cookies and
- an e-mail address.
4. Availability of the online appointment booking
The MAGS NRW provides access to online appointment booking on the social platform within the scope of its technical and organizational capabilities. In principle, the online appointment booking service is available to users for an unlimited period of time. The availability of the social platform may be restricted or suspended due to maintenance work, disruptions or force majeure. There is no entitlement to constant, uninterrupted availability of the online appointment booking service. However, the operation of the social platform is organized in such a way that technical problems are resolved promptly.
Due to maintenance work, disruptions or force majeure, the delivery of an appointment booking that has already been sent to the relevant advice center may also be delayed. Once an appointment booking has been sent, there is no entitlement to the availability of a specific or selected consultation appointment.
5. Obligations of the users
5.1 Complete and correct information
Users are obliged to provide up-to-date, complete and correct information on the data requested when booking an appointment online.
5.2 Use of the online appointment booking
Use of the social platform's online appointment booking service is permitted on condition that users do not use the services for purposes that violate these Terms of Use or are unlawful. This includes, in particular, any dissemination and transmission of illegal content, in particular content that is pornographic, glorifies violence, is discriminatory or offends common decency. The mass, unsolicited sending of content irrelevant to online appointment bookings or the excessive requesting of online appointment bookings (spamming) is also prohibited.
The online appointment booking service may not be used in any way that could damage, disable, overburden or impair any server or the network of the operators of the social platform or the networks or servers of third parties, or that could impair the use of the online appointment booking service by third parties.
Users are not permitted to gain unauthorized access to registrations, computer systems or networks connected to the server of the aforementioned data centers by decrypting codes, illegally obtaining passwords or other methods.
5.3 Right to block in the event of breach of user obligations
In the event of a breach of these Terms of Use, in particular of the user obligations under Section 5.2, the user may be permanently or at least temporarily blocked from using the online appointment booking service. The block only applies to online appointment booking. It is still possible to make appointments directly with the respective advice center, e.g. on site at the advice center or by telephone, and this remains unaffected by the block.
5.4 Obligation to cooperate and monitor
Users are obliged to notify the relevant advice center immediately of any changes to their contact details, in particular the email address provided for contact purposes, stating the booked advice appointment or, if applicable, the case number. They should regularly check their email inbox for new messages from the operator of the social platform or the relevant advice center.
5.5 Retention and disclosure obligations
After submitting the documents, users will receive an overview of the submitted data (data overview) and confirmation that the appointment booking has been sent by email. Users are obliged to store the data securely and make it available to the relevant advice center upon request.
5.6 Confirmation obligation
Users are obliged to check the accuracy of the data overview received by email. If the data is correct, the link in the same email must be confirmed within eight hours of receipt of the email. If the appointment is not confirmed within this period, it shall be deemed not to have been booked and cannot be kept.
5.7 Obligation to cancel
If the data is incorrect or a booked appointment cannot be kept by the User, the User shall be obliged to cancel the appointment from the confirmation email. In such a case, a further e-mail will be sent confirming the cancellation. A new appointment booking can then be made via the online appointment booking. It is not possible to contact the respective advice center to correct incorrect data.
5.8 Notification of incorrect information
The counseling centers are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information provided by the counseling centers and the course of the appointments on site. If users discover incorrect or contradictory information, they can notify MAGS NRW or the respective advice center accordingly. MAGS NRW will contact the advice center concerned if it receives a report.

Users are only entitled to use the social platform, the online appointment booking and the information and content contained therein to book appointments. Users are not granted any further rights. Reproduction or use of the content or parts thereof in other electronic or printed publications and their publication is only permitted with prior authorization. § Section 53 of the German Copyright Act (UrhG) remains unaffected.
