The BundID is valid nationwide. You do not have to worry about a new account if you move to another federal state.
Questions about BundID
One account for all: BundID on the Sozialplattform
In addition to the service accounts of the federal states (for example: Servicekonto.NRW), there is also a cross-state user account in Germany. The addition of the BundID as a further authentication option on the Sozialplattform will take place on 01.06.2023.
Users of the Sozialplattform who have previously used the Servicekonto.NRW to register and verify their identity (authentication) when submitting an application can now also do so using the BundID.
Questions about BundID
Das Servicekonto.NRW kann leider nicht mehr genutzt werden.
If you have a Servicekonto.NRW, this will remain in place. However, your data and applications will not be automatically transferred to the BundID. Both accounts function independently of each other. To use the BundID, you must create your own new account.
Your temporarily stored applications will be retained according to the defined storage times. However, they will not be transferred from the NRW service account to the BundID.
Applications that you have submitted are not saved in your personal area. You will only find your draft applications here. Once you have completed an application, you can download completed applications together with a processing confirmation.
It is not necessary to register on the Sozialplattform in order to use it. It only makes sense to register with BundID if you want to submit online applications.
You can log in directly when you are asked for authentication during the application process. Or you can register first under BundID.
Your old account will be retained. User accounts that have already been created will not be deleted. However, it is not possible to transfer information and applications.
