Cost-of-living assistance (Hilfe zum Lebensunterhalt)

After a serious illness such as long Covid, it can take a long time before you are sufficiently recovered to be able to work normally. If you are unable to work for 3 hours a day, you will be supported by the assistance for living expenses until you feel better again.

Support for Aging at Home

Are you currently no longer able to run your household alone for health reasons? Is there no one living with you who can take on these tasks? The Social Welfare Office can support you by helping you to continue running your household.

One-Time Needs

If you receive assistance with living expenses or basic income support in old age and in the event of reduced earning capacity, you may be entitled to this benefit - for example, if you need maternity clothes. You can find more information here.

Funeral Costs Assistance

Has a relative of yours died and you are unable to pay the funeral costs yourself? Is your inheritance or death benefit not enough? Under certain circumstances, the social welfare office can cover the funeral costs. You can find out more here.

Severely Disabled Pass

If you have a disability with a degree of disability (GdB) of at least 50, you can obtain a severely disabled person's pass. The severely disabled person's pass proves the severity of the disability and can be presented when applying for or claiming compensation for disadvantages and benefits for people with severe disabilities.
